Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled (TEFC) motor
enclosures do not allow free air flow through
the motor. TEFC enclosed motors are sealed
against leaks and dripping liquids. The
opposite end of the motor drive shaft has a
cooling fan mounted on it. A specially designed
shroud helps direct the fan driven outside air
over the exterior of the motor for cooling.
This is not considered a submersible motor.
