Open Drip Proof, ODP, motor enclosures allow
free air flow through the motor using vents in
the motor end shields. The vents are typically
located near the bottom of the motor. ODP
enclosed motors are designed to protect against
dripping liquids from above the motor. Refer to
the diagram and consider the position of these
vents when planning to mount the motor.
